Opportunities for Public Input
Request for input on questions and content
Note: the deadline for general input was June 1, 2009.
To ensure that the study will be as effective as possible in guiding the nation's response to climate change,
we invited input on the questions and content to be considered by the America's Climate Choices expert panels and the main committee.
The public had the opportunity to suggest questions for the study to address and to submit literature or opinion pieces to be considered during the study process.
In accordance with rules that govern the National Academies' independent
study process, all submitted materials will be listed on the National Academies Current Projects System
and made available for public review.
Public meetings
Other opportunities for public comment were provided at Town Hall meetings, as well as at the
America's Climate Choices Summit. In addition, portions of the committee
